Data Protection Declaration

1. Preamble

This is not a commercial website. It has the exclusive purpose of presenting open source software, which is made available free of charge. It does not use cookies, contains no advertising and does not make use of external services.
The operator of this website does not take responsibility for external contents which are refered by this website or for such which are beyond his sphere of influence. The contents are checked and classified as safe before references are inserted. However, there is no continuous review.

Further information that your browser possibly transmits:
This information is stored associated with further information in log files of the web server.

The log files are stored for 14 days and are removed after this period has expired. They are required to detect server attacks (e.g. brute force attacks) and to counteract them, but also to identify internal server errors. Another use is to determine how often and which search engine scans the website.
The IP address itself does not provide any direct information about a specific person or personal data.

3. Transmission of data when using the contact form

When using the contact form the following data are transmitted in addition to the data mentioned under 2:
Providing your name and email address as well as other personal data is optional. The email address is only required if you wish to receive an answer to your request (please state your wish explicitly in your message).
The messages will be kept until your issue has been resolved. Then they are deleted (including the associated data).

4. Transmission of data when using the online tools

This website provides tools which enable the demonstration of the offered software directly on the website. If you make use of them, data are transmitted to the server.
In case of the Online CSS Minifier, it is the information mentioned under 2, the selected settings and the CSS content which is entered or copy pasted.
The data mentioned under 2 are treated as described there. The settings and CSS contents are discarded as soon as the web server has delivered the response (regardless of whether the request was successful or not). There is no permanent storage of CSS data.

5. TLS encryption

This website uses TLS encryption for secure data transmission from browser to server and from server to browser. Look for the lock symbol next to the address line in your browser or https:// at the beginning of the address.
TLS encryption is also used for email communication, if your email provider or mail server supports it.
If you detect an unencrypted connection, then there is most likely a technical problem. In this case, please send a note using the contact form without specifying any personal data.

6. Data security

The website operator has accomplished the necessary steps to secure the data stored on the server.
The TLS encryption mentioned under 5 is used for communication. However, when communicating via email, TLS encryption cannot be guaranteed as both endpoints must support it.
